Summer Art Camp

glaze is pleased to offer seven sessions of art camp for children in grades one through eight. Each session will focus on a different art form so children can sign up for just one session or all seven. Enrollment is limited so please sign up early!

Morning sessions (9 am - Noon) for children in grades one through four and afternoon sessions (1 - 4 pm) for children in grades five through eight.

Registration received before June 15th:
The first week: $175 + tax = $189.66
The second and any additional weeks: $150 + tax = $162.56

Registration received after June 15th:
The first week: $195 + tax = $211.33
The second and any additional weeks: $175 + tax = $189.66

A Walk Through Time - July 2, 3, 5, and 6

Gear up your time machine and prepare to take a journey through art history! Each day of camp we will explore a different time period and create art inspired by that era. From the pyramids to the Museum of Modern Art, this will be a memorable journey for every young artist.

Jewelry - July 9, 10, 11 and 12

Learn the methods to create a wide variety of beautiful and functional jewelry and accessories. Young artists will create pendants and beads from scratch using clay, shrinky-dinks and more. Every budding designer will go home with necklaces, a headband and brooch and more. Great for beginners and experienced jewelry makers.

Tie-Dye - July 16, 17, 18 and 19

Back by popular demand! Students will explore the age old art form of tie-dye, creating t-shirts, bags and more. This year we will also explore tie-dye through history as well.

Green Art - July 23, 24, 25, and 26

Explore art made from the most unexpected supplies! Using materials such as bottle caps, plastic bottles, and newspapers, students will create beautiful and surprising artwork. This week is great for kids that love to build and embellish. Every student will bring supplies for us to create our works of art.

Vessels & Textiles - July 30, 31, August 1 and 2

Students will create their own fabrics, bowls and more. Throughout the week, each young artist will learn the art of weaving on and off a loom to create fabric, paper and wire works of art. Students will have the opportunity to also paint a ceramic piece and try their hand at mosaic to create a fabulous container. Sewing techniques will be featured as well – this week has something for everyone.

Sculpture - August 6, 7, 8 and 9

Come and explore the world of sculpture. Get ready to create three dimensional art using a variety of materials, such as papier mache and plaster. Learn how to create puppets, masks and free form sculpture.

The Year of the Dragon- August 13, 14, 15 and 16

Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with art! Be inspired by Chinese art to create kites, lanterns and dragons galore. This week is perfect for the student who dreams of far away places and enjoys learning about different cultures
